Hoewel DVD en BluRay uitgaven tegenwoordig minder belangrijk lijken dan fenomenen als Video-On-Demand (VOD), is er nog steeds een grote groep mensen die een videofilm graag fysiek in handen krijgen.

Oplages tot ca. 100 exemplaren worden door CRAWFURD FILM & VIDEO in eigen beheer gemaakt. Grotere oplages worden in een fabriek geperst.

 

DVD en BluRay producties maakt CRAWFURD FILM & VIDEO zowel voor eigen rekening als voor opdrachtgevers.

 

Helaas is illegale verspreiding door TV station YouTube een risico. Ook andere kwaadwillende hackers kunnen uw video via internet verspreiden. Totdat justitie besluit deze misdrijven te vervolgen bent u op uzelf aangewezen om illegale verspreiding tegen te gaan. Ik raad u wel aan om altijd aangifte te doen bij de politie, zowel tegen de uploader als tegen de verspreider YouTube of anderen. Hopelijk zal justitie dan uiteindelijk tot vervolging overgaan. Het is voor hen een fluitje van een cent, terwijl het voor u als slachtoffer vrijwel onmogelijk is om recht te verkrijgen.

 

Voorverkoop van een DVD van een concert of optreden zal uw risico verkleinen. Als uw motivatie niet commercieel is, dan kan dat wellicht zelfs al voldoende zijn. Voor grote producties zal u misschien een beroep moeten doen op crowdfunding. Als wij de productie doen, dan kan ik u daarbij helpen.

DVD and BluRay have become less important as distribution media over the years, compared to Video-on-demand for instance. Yet there are still a great number of people who want to own a copy of a film.

So we still produce and publish them.

 

Volumes up to 100 pieces will be burn by CRAWFURD FILM & VIDEO. Larger volumes will be pressed in a factory.

 

CRAWFURD FILM & VIDEO make DVD and BluRay productions on our own behalf as well as for clients.

 

The illegal distribution over the internet by YouTube and other channels is a risk. Until the justice department decides to enforce the copyright laws you will have to persecute the perpetrators yourself. I do advice you to port plaint against both uploaders and distributors like YouTube. Hopefully in the end the justice department will prosecute the felons. For them this is easy, while for the victims it is almost impossible.

 

Selling the DVD of a performance or show in advance is a way to limit the risk. If your motivation is non-commercial and your production small this may be enough. For larger productions you can try to get funding from subsidies or through crowdfunding. If you will have us execute the production, we will help you.
